Why do a consultation call?

It's a chance for you to see if this might be a good fit! Finding a therapist is tough! You want to find one that you feel safe with, who is aligned with your therapeutic goals and is on the same page about how to reach them. It's also a chance for you to ask any questions, share a bit about what you're looking for, and get a sense of how I work.

There's no obligation to book a session—just an opportunity to explore if this feels right for you. I'll ask about what’s bringing you to therapy and what you hope to get out of it. We’ll also talk about how I work and whether my approach feels right for you.

Do you offer sliding scale? What if I can’t afford therapy?

I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots based on financial need. If my rate is outside your budget, I can also point you to resources like the Affordable Therapy Network and other options for lower-cost therapy.

FAQs

What does experiential therapy mean and why do you use Internal Family Systems therapy?

Experiential therapy focuses on engaging with emotions and experiences directly rather than just talking about them. Many people already intellectually understand their struggles, but real change happens when we feel and process things in the moment. IFS is an experiential approach that helps people connect with different "parts" of themselves and develop a more compassionate, self-led relationship with their inner world.

A lot of people come in looking for a toolbox to handle hard emotions—which totally makes sense but what I offer is a bit different. Rather than giving you pre-made tools or techniques to apply from the outside, I help you build a deeper connection to your own inner sense of what’s needed in each moment.

In a way, your toolbox becomes your ability to tune in—to notice what’s happening inside, and respond in a way that feels aligned and self-compassionate. That’s often what creates more lasting change than just trying to ‘manage’ symptoms.
